West Kowloon Cultural District | VTC Skill-athon 2025: Unlocking Future Workplace Skills

Looking for outdoor activities during the holiday? Don't miss the VTC Skill-athon 2025, hosted by the Vocational Training Council (VTC). The event will take place on the West Kowloon Cultural District's Great Lawn on the 26th of this month, bringing the largest outdoor vocational and professional skills festival in Hong Kong, allowing you to learn about the new skills needed in the future workplace all at once!

There will be over 40 interactive experiences and workshops showcasing the learning outcomes of VTC students, interacting with the public and unlocking future workplace skills in intelligent technology, green energy, creative design, medical and health management, and more.

There are 4 main themed areas at the carnival:

  Arts and Crafts Workshop: From stylish makeup to 3D fashion floral accessories, experience the fun of creative handicrafts
  Delicious Food Lab: Make special delicacies on-site, including Halloween egg waffles and silky milk tea
  Leisure Corner: A fusion of art, technology, and mind-body healing, featuring sports therapy experiences and a pet playground
  Walk and Explore: Shuttle between virtual and reality, showcasing how intelligent technology will change future lives

Adults and children can explore the different themed areas while discovering the infinite possibilities of future workplace skills, such as participating in interactive dental games, smart traditional Chinese medicine cabinets, sports therapy workshops, drone building inspections, simulated cloisonné brooch workshops, and displays of solar-powered cars developed by teachers and students, thus understanding how VTC students master the core skills of various industries through simulated reality and interactive technology.

There will also be fashion design shows, musical performances, light and shadow performances, and other wonderful stage programs, as well as multiple特色打卡 (special check-in spots), suitable for young people and families to participate, play, and inspire future planning!
